PART 2.a - In Character Non-WH13/Eureka Canon Characters (Skip/delete if not applicable)
Full Name: Kristen Kringle
Nicknames: Miss Kringle
DOB/Age: May 17th, 24 (headcanon, bday never given in canon)
Birthplace: Gotham City
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Species: Human
Fandom: Gotham
Journal: kristenkgcpd
PB: Chelsea Spack
Holoprojection Human Interface PB: NA
Canon Point: During the GCPD shooting in "Knock,Knock" when she was pushed out of the path of bullets by Nygma.

Appearance: Kristen (addressed by most of the GCPD as Miss Kringle) appears to be a young woman in her early to mid 20s with reddish hair and blue eyes. She is of average height (allowing for heels) and slim with a taste for retro fashions fitting the anachronism stew style time period of the show (especially partial to skirts and twin sets with simple and elegant jewelry) but always very ladylike in her dress. While during the workday she prefers ponytails she has been seen wearing her hair in loose waves and does wear eyeglasses due to being farsighted.

History: http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Kristen_Kringle_%28Gotham%29

http://gotham.wikia.com/wiki/Kristin_Kringle

(fair warning: not much is known since she was a recurring cast member)

To the world at large Kristen Kringle is the quiet girl in the records annex of the GCPD. But the first time she's seen in canon was in the aftermath of Nygma's attempts at helping her (his misguided attempt at wooing her). She quickly grew frustrated and hoped it would scare him off his attempts at wooing.

It did not.

He tried everything but the only sign of hope was her simple statement about him owning her a new pencil when he was reinstated due to the arrest of the prior ME.

Kristen was later given a poem by Nygma which was found by Arnold Flass and several others. But she does seek him out later to apologize and reveal Flass was the one to find the poem. She later is a witness to his arrest. A few weeks later Nygma warns her of Flass's upcoming release from jail and it makes her see just how bad he actually was, cue a smile from Nygma. Sometime later however he is the one to see a bruise on Kristen's arm caused by her new boyfriend Tom Dougherty. He asks and she passes if off as an accident but he knows something is amiss in spite of Kristen's white fib. He does stare down the officer to only get rebuffed along with a threat in the process. Cue Nygma's dip into darkness since out of desire to protect the woman he adores he kills Dougherty via stab wound. Later on he plants a dear Jane letter for Kristen to find, only causing more questions when she discovers the first letter of each line is the word Nygma. She goes digging for answers soon after since she's at this point very confused.

She is not seen again till the events of "Knock,Knock". When the Maniax tore into the GCPD the night of the shooting (she was only there thanks to trying to get ahead of a file backlog while the annex was quiet) is when things change again.

Kristen gets snagged by the camera the moment Edward Nygma slammed her out of the path of bullets (due to her being frozen in fear). She arrives with a lot of injuries from the landing/floor skid but nothing life ending (she has a wrenched back, trashed knee that might need surgery, twisted ankle, a very mild concussion from landing against a table and a sprained wrist plus a ton of bruises). She also cracked her glasses during the landing.

So what lies ahead for a woman who needs order beyond possible knee surgery and new glasses? Kristen is not sure but thinks anything is better than being shot at (or worse but she won't admit it just yet). Granted there really is more to Kristen Kringle but first she has to face the darkness inside her own soul.

(filling in the blanks for between seasons)

During the period between seasons 1 and 2 Kristen finally started doing the work to face her inner demons (at least the dating related ones stemming from her confidence issues). But beyond that she simply kept to herself and kept her focus on work, if she's being honest it was a lot easier than dealing half the time (something she needs to work on). As for things with Edward Nygma he slowly became less creepy (at least in her mind) so over that same period they got into light banter and gentle joking around the station (at least when it was only the two of them, she knew his rep around the office was unkind). She also was and still is trying to make a life for herself beyond the office.

Previous Game History, IF APPLICABLE: NA
Personality: Not much is known in canon but Kristen (a recurring character) is a hard working young woman who has a habit of keeping to herself (most would see her as somewhat of an ice queen but I think she's simply a quiet young woman). She does have moments of passion (like when she and Nygma kiss later in season 2) but for the moment she's simply trying to deal with old wounds stemming from her last relationship along with some ongoing self worth/self confidence issues (at least I see things that way). She also won't admit it aloud but she does find a sense of solace in work, she craves the order of the files and trying to tame the chaos that is the GCPD records annex. But the sooner she gets mental help, routine and some order into her life (proper employment will only help) Kristen will start to bloom and eventually find her place within the world of the Warehouse. But at the same time she has a lot of work ahead to recover from not just the shooting but also her ex (in canon she was in a very abusive relationship till near the end of season 1).

As for dating she does want to try again and maybe this time around meet someone who is not a complete creep.

Special facts/special abilities about your character: Mild form of photographic memory (headcanon) but is otherwise a vanilla human in her early to mid 20s. But is very smart in the sense of brains.

What is arriving with your character? Wallet (with ID and about 50 dollars) in skirt pocket, eyeglasses (cracked), GCPD ID badge, file folder in hand, wearing black skirt, pink sweater set, kitten heels and a neck scarf along with earrings and silver chain.

PART 3 - Writing Samples
1. First Person Writing Sample: (sometime after arrival)

*the Farnsworth shows a much better shape Kristen. Her hair is back in its trademark ponytail and she's in a skirt and sweater, thankfully her knee brace is well hidden.)

As someone wiser reminded me there is power in having a plan of action. So today my plan is simple and two fold.

One: to find some clothes so I can return the things I have borrowed. And two: to find proper employment posthaste. Because to be truthful I simply can not sit around for much longer even with a bad knee without going crazy.

So anyone know if anyone in the nearby town can use a file clerk?

2. Third Person Writing Sample: http://ten-fwd.dreamwidth.org/207454.html (as Kristen)
3. First or Third person Sample: 1st person five sentences minimum, 3rd person 250 words (ex: reaction to arriving, first time using the Farnsworth.)

(Kristen had basically slept since the crash landing but upon waking up for a trip to the bathroom she finally decided to take the plunge and try out the Farnsworth. After some trial and error she finally gets it to work and the screen shows a pale and very banged up young woman with cracked glasses.)

Forgot how much landing like that can hurt, its usually overshooting the distance from ladder to a box of files in my case. But now that everything is kinda sinking in its time to brave the waters, so hi I'm Kristen and well last thing I remember was being slammed out of the path of bullets when the GCPD was shot up. But now I'm simply going to see what fate has in store. But proper employment is at the top of the growing to-do list.

And anyone know where I can get a pair of glasses? Can't exactly see given how bad the cracks turned out to be. But for now I think I'll just go back to bed and sleep off this headache.
