Answer the following questions in no less than 300 words but no greater than 1000 words put together...
Character's background (their past and present): http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Kristen_Kringle_%28Gotham%29

(filling in the blanks)
During the period between seasons 1 and 2 Kristen finally started doing the work to face her inner demons (at least the dating related ones). But beyond that she simply kept to herself and kept her focus on work, if she's being honest it was a lot easier than dealing half the time (something she needs to work on). As for things with Edward Nygma he slowly became less creepy (at least in her mind) so over that same period they got into light banter and gentle joking around the station (at least when it was only the two of them, she knew his rep around the office was unkind). She also was and still is trying to make a life for herself beyond the office. But when the Maniax tore into the GCPD the night of the shooting (she was only there thanks to trying to get ahead of a file backlog while the annex was quiet) is when things change again.
Kristen gets winked onto the Enterprise the moment Edward Nygma slammed her out of the path of bullets. She arrived with a lot of injuries from the landing/floor skid but nothing life ending (she has a wrenched back, trashed knee that might need surgery, twisted ankle, a very mild concussion from landing against a table and a sprained wrist plus a ton of bruises). She also chipped her glasses during the landing.
So what lies ahead for a woman who needs order beyond possible knee surgery and new glasses? Kristen is not sure but thinks anything is better than being shot at (or worse but she won't admit it just yet).
Character's personality: Not much is known in canon but Kristen is a hard working young woman who has a habit of keeping to herself (most would see her as somewhat of an ice queen but I think she's simply a quiet young woman). She does have moments of passion (like when she and Nygma kiss later in season 2) but for the moment she's simply trying to deal with old wounds stemming from her last relationship along with some ongoing self worth issues (at least I see things that way). She also won't admit it aloud but she does find a sense of solace in work, she craves the order of the files and trying to tame the chaos that is the GCPD records annex. But the sooner she gets mental help, routine and some order into her life (a civilian position can only help) Kristen will start to bloom and eventually find her place onboard the ship. As for dating she does want to try again and maybe this time around meet someone who is not a complete creep.
Character's skills/abilities/powers: Vanilla human but is scary organized
Any special equipment your character is bringing along? This includes weaponry, magic items, etc.: Just her GCPD ID badge, the file folder she was holding when grabbed and eyeglasses (which will be cracked upon arrival).
Are you bringing your character to
ten_fwd from another game? If you are, which game?: NA
If you answered yes above, briefly summarize how they were changed by and what challenges they faced in the climate of their previous game(s): NA
Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them? To me Kristen Kringle is an enigma in a retro inspired skirt. At the canon point I picked we've only seen her over the course of a season and 2 weeks as a recurring cast member and she's never given a lot of backstory outside of GCPD and her duties (along with interactions with various police characters including the bulk of her interactions with Edward Nygma). I want to expand on what little has been shared in canon and explore the human side of her from her need for order (at least from what has been shared in canon) to shoving her problems into work (personal theory). She is also a survivor of domestic violence as of the end of season 1 (the arc with Tom) and I would like to explore the fallout from that period as well (and let her have a happy and normal relationship if the cards fall right). I would also like to explore her recovery from the GCPD shooting along with being a woman who craves order being tossed into a very different world.
